Web-based automated trapping system for monitoring insect pests

Developing a web-based detection system utilizing automated traps. The system will provide users with real time data of pest flight and interception record in remote trapping stations. This system will reduce labour required to physically monitor the traps and will increase precision of detecting threshold of exotic species. The automated trapping system can be deployed in remote areas, where it can be used to provide real time data on the interception of the airborne insects arriving from Australia and can be synchronized with similar system deployed offshore to monitor the activity of potential exotic species.
